Informed consent regulations installation, security, and user access registration


  1. Climbing shoes are mandatory.
  2. If using personal equipment at the facility, it must be approved, certified, and up-to-date for its intended use according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  3. Registration at the access control point is mandatory to use the facility.
  4. Access to the facility is not permitted without authorization.
  5. Accompanying persons who are not using the facility may not, under any circumstances, assist in belaying users. Likewise, they may not be in the practice area or its surroundings. There is a designated waiting area.
  6. Users must respect the facility's safety rules, as well as those specific to the activity, and treat other users with respect.
  7. Smoking is not permitted at the facility.
  8. Users must treat the facility's equipment with care.
  9. The facility staff will ensure compliance with the established rules. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the facility.
  10. Minors must use the facilities with authorization and be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  11. The lower part of the climbing wall must be kept clear of climbing gear and any other personal equipment that could endanger a climber in the event of a fall.
  12. The company is NOT responsible for personal belongings.
  13. Climbing shoes are not permitted on the terrace.
  14. I agree to use the facility responsibly and to help protect the environment by not wasting water or electricity.
  15. The facility has a maximum capacity of 150 people at any one time. If this number is exceeded, the facility may limit access to ensure user safety.
  16. Climbing without a shirt is not permitted.
  17. It is recommended to warm up thoroughly before climbing, as well as to stretch before and after.
  18. Eating and drinking are NOT permitted in the crash pad area.

BOULDERING AREA

  1. Access to the upper part of the bouldering area is not permitted. Downclimbing is recommended.
  2. If any holds are loose, please inform the facility staff.
  3. Modifying or changing the routes for both sport climbing and bouldering is prohibited. If this poses a risk to users, inform the facility staff.
  4. It is advisable not to climb below or above other climbers. Warn other users of your intentions.
  5. It is advisable for a partner to spot the climber.

LEAD AREA

  1. Climbing is a sport that requires a minimum level of technical and safety knowledge. It is recommended to know how to use the safety equipment (*) permitted at the facility, as well as belaying and rope techniques. If you do not have the necessary training for this activity or do not have the required safety equipment (*), I agree to inform the facility staff immediately.
  2. Some routes are fully equipped with quickdraws, while others require the use of personal, removable gear.
  3. When leading a climb, it is MANDATORY to place quickdraws on all bolts along the route.
  4. Wearing a helmet is recommended.
  5. When climbing in top rope, when dismantling the route, the belayer must pay special attention to the rope length between themselves and the climber to avoid situations that could endanger the climber.
  6. It is recommended to use a double-tied figure-eight knot for tying in. Conversely, it is not advisable to use a bowline knot for this purpose.
  7. It is not permitted to go beyond the anchor line.
  8. Rapid descent by the climber is prohibited.
  9. It is advisable to spot the lead climber until they are secured to the second bolt.
  10. On steeper routes and those near the changing rooms, it is recommended that climbers doing top rope pay special attention when removing the rope from the quickdraw to avoid potential risks.
  11. It is advisable to check personal equipment before each use. If renting equipment, please check it before starting the activity and report any damage to the facility staff.
  12. To use auto-belays, you must receive training from a gym technician on their use, along with the safety measures you must take to ensure the activity is carried out correctly. After completing this training, you will be issued a card with your information, which will be attached to your harness and displayed visibly whenever you use these devices.
  13. To receive training on auto-belays, simply speak to a gym technician and let them know you want to use them.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Climbing is a high-risk activity and sport, and its practice can result in various types of injuries, including very serious ones.

Rock & Wall Climbing will not be held responsible for damages, losses, or injuries suffered by the user when these are a consequence of normal activity, ordinary falls while climbing, or damages caused by the user's improper or incorrect use of safety systems.

The company will only be responsible for damages or injuries caused by failures of the facility's safety mechanisms and devices. 

By signing this document, the user acknowledges:

A) Understanding that climbing, in its various forms, is a sporting activity not without risk. Although this risk can be greatly reduced with proper use of the facility, by adopting appropriate safety measures, and by following these Rules of Use, there are inherent and unforeseen risks associated with the activity.

B) To have received complete and sufficient information and training on the characteristics of the activity and to have read these General Terms and Conditions and Rules of Use. 

C) To be in adequate physical and mental condition to participate in the activity, and not to have any illness or physical limitation that would prevent participation or that could be triggered during the activity.

D) To understand and accept that my participation involves risk to my physical integrity and that of others, which includes, but is not limited to: injuries, illnesses, sensory impairments, loss of body parts, permanent disabilities, or even death.

E) To understand and accept that the risks of participating in the activity cannot be fully controlled, either by the user or by the facility, and to assume the possible negative consequences that may arise from the activity if the facility has not acted with due diligence, has acted in bad faith, or has been negligent in light of the circumstances.

F) I have been informed and agree that, should I experience a health problem, the facility will provide me with free on-site assistance, limited exclusively to first aid administered by non-medical personnel and, if necessary, stabilization until I am transferred by the appropriate authorities to the health center or hospital designated by the Emergency Services. This excludes medical equipment, medications, surgical treatments, or other services that must be provided by medical personnel.

G) If a minor participates under the user's supervision, the assumptions and declarations in this document include the minor.
